The 2017 Happy Valley Half Marathon Training Program, sponsored by SELECT PHYSICAL THERAPY, is a 14 week program designed for runners who have previously run at least one 10k road race and are looking to train for a half-marathon distance race. While many of us will be training for the Happy Valley Half Marathon on 10/22/17, this program can be used to train for any fall half marathon including (but not limited to): Smuttynose Rockfest Half (10/1/17), Boston Half (10/8/17), Newport Half (10/8/17), Hartford Half (10/14/17), Cape Cod Half (10/28/17), and Monson Half (11/13/17).
Each week will feature two organized and coached training workouts, including form lessons to help participants avoid injury and run more efficiently as well as strength training lessons specifically aimed for runners. All participants will receive a punch coupon (with TONS of savings!), weekly motivational and educational eNewsletters, a detailed daily training schedule (can be modified for your particular race timeline), a technical shirt, graduation party and more!
Whether it will be your 1st half-marathon or your 50th, this program is for you! All paces are welcome.
